The One Page Business Plan

In 1974, a young black man named Jeremiah, a farmer who lives in Pennsylvania falls in love with a terminally ill Amish young woman named Mildred at the crossroads near their homes. She loves him just as much, but they never tell one another. Mildred‘s father and mother, Joanna and Elijah, whom she calls Ma and Pa, are kind and nurturing toward Jeremiah. He also gets along with her much older and rougher brothers and soft-spoken younger sister. In 2002, even in his old age, Jeremiah never stopped loving Mildred, even after her untimely death and his marriage to another woman named Barbara in 1978, and the two visit her grave every day.
