INT. UPSCALE LOS ANGELES RESTAURANT - NIGHT

ETHAN (30s, famous actor), impeccably dressed, sits at a table with SARAH (20s, Ethan’s assistant), equally stylish. Marco (40s, waiter), slick and observant, approaches.

MARCO (Smiling smoothly) Good evening, Mr. Hunt. Everything to your liking?

ETHAN (Smiling) Yes, Marco, excellent. Thank you.

SARAH (To Marco) And my water, please.

Marco nods, then discreetly glances towards a nearby booth where JAKE (30s, Ethan’s uncanny look-alike) sits, watching Ethan intently. Jake subtly signals to Marco.

MARCO (To Ethan) Mr. Hunt, there’s a… a rather important gentleman who wishes to speak with you privately. He’s waiting in the back room. I can show you the way.

ETHAN (Confused) I don’t have any meetings scheduled…

SARAH (Concerned) Ethan, are you sure?

MARCO (Urgently) It’s… urgent, sir. This gentleman is very insistent.

Ethan, slightly uneasy, allows Marco to lead him away. Sarah watches them go, a growing sense of unease settling over her.

INT. RESTAURANT BACK ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Marco leads Ethan into a small, dimly lit room. The door closes behind them, leaving Ethan alone. He tries the handle; it’s locked.

ETHAN (Calling out) Marco? Hello?

Silence. Ethan is alone and trapped.

Sarah is visibly agitated, pacing near their table. Jake approaches, feigning concern.

JAKE (Smoothly) Is everything alright, Miss… Sarah? I’m Jake. A friend of Ethan’s. I saw you looking worried.

SARAH (Suspicious) I… I don’t know you. Where’s Ethan? Marco took him to a back room.

JAKE (Feigning surprise) Oh, that’s odd. I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation. Perhaps he just needed a moment of privacy.

Sarah remains unconvinced. She pulls out her phone, about to call security.

Ethan continues to call for help, banging on the door. He’s growing increasingly frustrated and frightened.

Jake, seeing Sarah’s determination to call for help, makes his move. He puts a hand on her arm, attempting a charming smile.

JAKE (Softly) Look, I know this is unsettling, but let’s not make a fuss. Ethan’s probably just… indisposed. Why don’t we… get to know each other better?

Sarah, feeling trapped and vulnerable, pulls away sharply. She’s about to scream when Jake grabs her hand. In a moment of panic and desperation, she unexpectedly fingers him.

INT. RESTAURANT - LATER

MADDISON (30s, detective), sharp and observant, arrives on the scene. Ethan is released from the back room, shaken but unharmed. Sarah explains what happened, pointing out Jake. Madison arrests Jake. Marco, having been caught red-handed, is also taken into custody. Sarah, though shaken, is safe. Ethan thanks Madison and Sarah. The scene ends with Sarah looking at her hand, clearly disturbed by the events.
